FunGamezo respects the rights of the people who make games. If material on this site infringes your copyright, this page tells you exactly how to have it removed and what we do when a notice arrives. We take properly made complaints seriously and we act on them.

Where the games come from

We do not develop or host the games ourselves. They are supplied through a licensed HTML5 game distribution partner and run inside an embedded frame served from that partner’s servers. In practice this means most titles reach us through a chain that is supposed to be authorised — but if a game entered that chain without the developer’s permission, we will not have known, and telling us is how it gets fixed. We can remove any game from FunGamezo regardless of where it is hosted.

Before you send a notice

Two things worth checking, because they save everyone time. First, if the problem is factual rather than legal — a wrong title, a wrong developer credit, a broken embed — just write and tell us; that does not need a formal notice. Second, if you licensed your game to a distribution network and later withdrew it, the fastest fix is usually to withdraw it at the source as well, since that removes it everywhere at once. We will still take it down here immediately on request.

How to file a takedown notice

Send a written notice containing all six of the elements required by section 512(c)(3) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. A notice missing any of them may not be legally effective and will slow things down:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed. If the notice covers several works, a representative list is fine.
3. Identification of the material you want removed, with the full FunGamezo URL of each page concerned — for example https://fungamezo.com/g/example-game. We cannot act on “a game on your site” without the specific address.
4. Your contact details: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.

Where to send it

Email your notice to dmca@fungamezo.com with “DMCA Takedown Notice” in the subject line. Email is the fastest route and the one we monitor for this purpose.

What happens next

We aim to acknowledge notices within two business days and to act on valid ones promptly — in most cases we remove or disable access to the material first and correspond afterwards. We will also pass the complaint to our distribution partner, since removing a title at source stops it reappearing. Where we can identify the game’s uploader, we forward them a copy of the notice so they have the opportunity to respond.

Counter-notification

If your game was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It needs your signature, identification of the material and the URL where it appeared before removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed in error, your contact details, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of an appropriate federal district court. We may restore the material after the statutory waiting period unless the original complainant files a court action first.

Repeat infringers

We maintain a policy of removing content from sources that repeatedly infringe copyright, and of ceasing to accept titles from a supplier or developer that gives us recurring reason to. A site this size relies on the chain of licences behind it being sound; when a link in that chain proves unreliable, we stop using it.

A caution about false claims

Section 512(f) of the DMCA makes anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Please make sure you actually hold the rights, and consider whether the use might be permitted, before filing. If you are unsure, speak to a lawyer first — we cannot give you legal advice.
