Cookie Policy
Last updated 21 July 2026
This page lists what FunGamezo actually stores in your browser, who sets it, what it is for, and how to get rid of it. It is a companion to our privacy policy, which covers data handling more broadly.
Cookies and local storage — the difference
Two different mechanisms are in play here and they behave differently. Cookies are small files that get sent back to a server with each request, which is what makes them useful for analytics. Local storage stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere — it is a private notepad your browser keeps for a site. FunGamezo uses cookies only for analytics, and uses local storage for the features that remember what you have played.
Analytics cookies
We run Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-93TSF05SQX) to see how many people visit and which games get played. It sets two cookies:
_ga— distinguishes one browser from another so repeat visits are not counted as new people. Typically expires after two years._ga_G-93TSF05SQX— keeps a single browsing session together so a visit that spans several pages is not recorded as several visits. Typically expires after two years.
These are first-party cookies containing a randomly generated identifier. They do not hold your name, email or anything you have typed, and we use the resulting reports only in aggregate.
What we keep in local storage
Two site features depend on local storage, and both are entirely device-side:
- Favourites — the games you have starred, so the favourites page can show them next time.
- History — the games you have recently opened, so you can get back to one without hunting for it.
Neither list is sent to us and neither is tied to an account, because there are no accounts. We cannot see your favourites; the only copy is the one on your device. That also means the lists do not follow you to a different browser or a different computer.
Cookies set inside game frames
Games run in an embedded frame served by our third-party game distribution partner. When you launch one, that partner’s domain — and any advertising it serves inside the game — may set its own cookies or storage to remember game progress, control ad frequency, or measure performance. These are third-party cookies set by another company under its own policies. We do not set them, cannot read them, and do not receive the data they generate.
How to control or remove all of this
- Clear everything at once: use your browser’s “clear browsing data” option for this site. That removes the analytics cookies, your favourites and your history together.
- Block third-party cookies in your browser settings to stop the game frames setting their own. Most games will still run, though some may forget progress between sessions.
- Opt out of analytics with a tracking-protection setting, a content blocker, or Google’s official opt-out add-on.
- Use private browsing if you would rather nothing persisted after you close the tab.
Nothing described on this page is required to play. Blocking all of it costs you the favourites and history features and makes you invisible in our traffic figures; every game on the site still works.
Why there is no cookie banner
We have kept the site’s own cookie use to a single analytics tool, with no advertising or cross-site tracking of our own — which is why you are reading a page rather than dismissing a pop-up. If we ever adopt cookies that require consent where you live, we will ask for it properly rather than assuming it.
Changes and contact
If what we store changes, this page and its “last updated” date change with it. Questions can go to privacy@fungamezo.com, and our terms of service cover the wider rules for using FunGamezo.
