About FunGamezo

FunGamezo is a home for the browser games people are actually playing right now. Not a dusty archive of everything ever made — a tight, constantly refreshed shelf of the games that are catching on this week, ready to play the moment you land on them.

What we're trying to do

Most browser-game sites are enormous and undifferentiated: tens of thousands of titles, sorted by nothing in particular, with the same "top 100" list that has not changed in years sitting on the front page. Finding something worth twenty minutes means wading. We wanted the opposite — a place where the front page tells you what is genuinely rising, and where a game that starts blowing up somewhere on the internet shows up here quickly with its own page, rather than months later or never.

That shapes everything about the site. The homepage leads with what is trending rather than with whatever is oldest and most linked. Rows are built from different signals on purpose — what is being played most, what just landed, what players rate highest, what works with a friend, what suits five spare minutes — so scrolling actually shows you different games instead of the same dozen under new headings.

How games get picked

Games arrive here through a licensed HTML5 game distribution partner, and we add them as they start trending rather than on a fixed schedule. When something takes off it gets its own page with a working embed, a short how-to-play, the controls, and a grid of related games to roll into next. We favour titles that load fast, feel right on a phone, and let you start playing without sitting through a tutorial first.

We currently host 150 games across 11 categories. That number is deliberately modest — we would rather the shelf stay worth browsing than pad it out.

How playing works

Everything runs as HTML5 straight in your browser, so a game starts in the page you are already on — nothing to install, no launcher, no plugin. It works the same on a laptop, a phone, a tablet, or a school or work Chromebook where installing things is not an option. There is no account to create: tap the heart on a game and it is saved to your Favorites, and games you have played show up under History. Both are stored locally in your own browser, not on our servers, which is also why they do not follow you to another device.

Finding your way around

The quickest routes in are the Trending and New pages. Beyond that the catalogue splits into 11 categories — Action, Casual, Puzzle, Sports, Arcade, Strategy, Multiplayer, Simulation, RPG, Horror, Education — each listing every game in it, ranked by what is most played. If you prefer to browse by feel rather than genre, the tag index cuts across categories, and A–Z lists the whole catalogue alphabetically.

How a game earns its spot

"Trending" on FunGamezo is not a hand-wave. Each row on the front page is built from a different measurable signal rather than one popularity number sliced up several ways, because a list that reshuffles the same twelve games under four headings is not actually telling you anything. Trending Now reflects how much a game is being played here. Fresh This Week is strictly recency — what has most recently been added. Top Rated by Players leans on how players have rated a title, which regularly surfaces games that never crack the raw play-count charts. Play With a Friend filters to genuine two-player and co-op titles, and Pick Up & Play collects the short, low-commitment ones for when you have a few minutes rather than an evening.

Category pages then rank within a genre, so a strong puzzle game is not buried under whatever action title happens to dominate the site overall. The practical effect is that there are several honest routes to a good game depending on what you are in the mood for, instead of one chart that everything has to squeeze through.

What this site doesn't do

There is no sign-up wall, no email capture before you can play, and no newsletter popup interrupting a game. We do not ask for personal details, because the site does not need them — favourites and history live in your own browser. We do not publish invented review scores or fake "editor's choice" badges, and we do not pad the catalogue with broken or dead embeds to inflate a game count. If a game stops working, the right outcome is that it gets fixed or removed, not that it quietly sits there failing.

How the site supports itself

Playing here costs nothing. The games are supplied through a distribution partner and some of them carry advertising from that partner, which is what funds the arrangement that lets them be embedded and played for free. That is the whole model — we are not selling your data, and there is no premium tier holding games back behind a paywall.

Who makes the games

We do not develop the games ourselves. Every title on FunGamezo is made by an independent developer or studio and remains their property — all trademarks, artwork, and copyright stay with their respective owners. We publish them through a licensed distribution partner, which is what allows the games to be embedded and played here. If you are a developer and want a game added, corrected, or taken down, get in touch and we will act on it.

Found a game that will not load, a broken control scheme, or something that should be here and is not? Tell us — that feedback is genuinely how the shelf gets better.
